The People of Nepal - Photo Zine
A 71 page photographic zine of my most impactful images of the People in Nepal.
“My original intent on this trip was to photograph the Dashain Festival along with the temples, buildings and ancient structures that the Kathmandu area is known for. But it became clear very quickly that the People would take hold of me and I became mesmerized by their smile, their warmth, their openness.
There is a natural flow in the way they appear to love that is infectious. I couldn’t help but notice that even in the midst of so many people that are in the Kathmandu area, there was such a ease at how life happens, from the walking side streets, to the taxi rides from Lalitpur to Thamel. I was truly impressed by the LACK of anger displayed to others when comparing to my home country.
Even in the midst of what we in the west might consider poverty conditions, I’ve found that the people I experienced to be amazingly beautiful and just glowed from within.
The photos for The People of Nepal were taken in the Patan and Thamel areas of Kathmandu and near Chitwan National Park in October of 2022”
